01Introduction
This statement reflects our commitment to upholding human dignity and ethical practice, in full alignment with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Our understanding is guided by the definitions set out in the Act, alongside the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) concerning forced or compulsory labour.
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking, and slavery-like practices including debt bondage, the exploitation of children, and forced marriage. At its core, it involves depriving a person of their liberty to exploit them for personal or commercial gain. This statement sets out the steps we take to ensure these practices have no place within our business or our supply chains.
02Our Business
NAPPUCCINO Grp Ltd is a coffee brand built on care — for our customers, our community, and the people who grow and make our products. We source and curate quality coffee and related goods, sharing them through our website, our NAPPUCCI Club membership, and our growing network of partners.
Our mission goes beyond simply offering a great cup of coffee — it is about creating a brand that stands for fairness, transparency, and genuine care at every step. We believe that business should be a force for good, and that means ensuring dignity and respect for everyone involved in bringing our products to life.
03Our Commitment
We are fully committed to the elimination of modern slavery and human trafficking. We will comply with all applicable laws and uphold the highest ethical standards throughout our operations and our influence.
We are committed to:
- Ensuring our employees work in safe, fair, and respectful conditions
- Treating all people with dignity, free from exploitation or coercion
- Promoting ethical practice throughout our supplier network
- Continually improving our due diligence processes
04Our Supply Chains & Sourcing
Our coffee is sourced directly from farmers, cooperatives, and trusted long-term partners around the world. We value relationships built on transparency and mutual respect. Where possible, we work with suppliers accredited by recognised ethical assurance schemes including Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, SEDEX, and Organic certification bodies, as these frameworks help ensure labour standards are independently verified.
We support and align with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, which is founded on ILO conventions covering fair wages, reasonable working hours, health and safety, freedom from discrimination, and the elimination of forced, bonded, or child labour. While we recognise that no system is perfect, we actively encourage and support our suppliers in working toward these standards.
05Due Diligence & Risk Management
We take a proactive approach to identifying and addressing the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chains. Our measures include:
- Supplier selection and assessment — verifying ethical standards before entering into new trading relationships
- Contractual expectations — requiring suppliers to confirm they operate in accordance with applicable laws and ethical labour principles
- Ongoing review — monitoring supplier performance and reviewing our sourcing practices regularly
- Training and awareness — ensuring our team understands what to look for and how to act if concerns arise
We believe that the risk of modern slavery within our own operations is significantly reduced through our existing policies, employment practices, and internal awareness. However, we recognise that vigilance is essential — especially within global supply chains. We continue to develop our processes and seek independent verification where practicable to strengthen our oversight.
06Reporting Concerns
If anyone — whether an employee, supplier, customer, or member of the public — has reason to believe that modern slavery or human trafficking may be taking place within our business or our supply chains, we encourage these concerns to be raised promptly and in confidence. Reports may be submitted directly to us at: info@nappuccinocoffee.com
We will treat all concerns seriously, investigate appropriately, and take action where issues are identified. We are committed to ensuring no individual suffers negative consequences for raising concerns in good faith.
07Continuous Improvement
This statement reflects our position as at the date of publication. We recognise that ethical sourcing is an ongoing journey — there is always more to learn and ways to improve. We will continue to review, strengthen, and publish our approach as our business evolves.
